We would like to thank the following organizations,
who regularly contribute food to feed the hungry without money:
The Capital Grille
The Cheesecake Factory
Costco
The Fresh Market
Oakes Produce
Pizza Hut
|
Publix Supermarkets
Starbucks Coffee
Pepperridge Farms
The Ritz Carlton of Naples
Voortman Cookies
|
We would also like to thank the many generous people who call
us spontaneously to donate their surplus foods.
We currently deliver food to shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries
in Collier and Southern Lee Counties, and we invite similar organizations
to contact us. Due to liability issues,
neither Collier Harvest nor our volunteers may deliver food directly
to any individuals, for this reason we work directly with agencies
and groups who have a 501-C 3 status. In addition, we require that
all of our food be passed along to the needy at no charge to the
individual.
Charitable programs wishing to have food delivered
by Collier Harvest volunteers must provide documentation of their
non-profit status. Organizations must be willing to follow Safe
Food Handling procedures and sign the required Release of Liability
forms. Once the paperwork has been completed and returned, the organization's
request must then go before our review committee.
All agencies and drop off points are required to maintain and have
available for Collier Harvest volunteers a Collier
Harvest Weight Log. This log enables the volunteer to record
donations left at your site. It is the responsibility of the drop
off site to maintain the log in an easy to gain access location
for the volunteer to sign each time a drop off is made. At the end
of the month the agency is asked to mail the original to Collier
Harvest at the address on the top of the log:
Collier Harvest
P. O. Box 11143
Naples, FL 34101
Among the many purposes of this log is to help Collier Harvest measure
their efforts in the community as it pertains to donations. It is
also used as a tally to create the annual tax reporting documents
