Be a part of our Annual Food Drive every May

If you are part of a hunger relief organization, you can sign up to receive food from this year's drive

Every year on the second weekend in May, Collier Harvest participates in the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Food Drive in the Naples area. Working with local letter carriers, we collected and distributed over 200,000 pounds of non-perishable foods in May 2007. The NALC drive is instrumental to ensure that food pantries across the area are well stocked over the summer months. The 2007 NALC Drive represents the 16th year that postal workers have held their nationwide food drive in over 10,000 cities in the US and over 71 million pounds of food have been collected to feed the hungry in the our nation.

Various groups and churches call upon Collier Harvest to help distribute foods collected from their food drives. We are currently looking to develop additional food drives in the early Fall so that no one goes hungry over the pre-holiday period when food pantries are often at their lowest levels of the year. If you are interested in helping us develop a Fall food drive, please contact us for more information.

Normally we welcome most wholesome food donations. However, during the annual food drive we can only accept non-perishable foods because the food drive helps agencies stockpile food through the summer months. Collier Harvest is always happy to coordinate pick-up and distribution of your surplus foods.
